Pope McGlamry Reaffirms Its Commitment to Pro Bono Excellence

Atlanta, Georgia — Pope McGlamry, a Georgia law firm specializing in civil litigation, has reached a positive resolution in its most recent pro bono case, Adkison v. Kellett, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.Wade H. Tomlinson and Amelia G. Helmick of Pope, McGlamry were appointed to represent Mr. Robert Adkison in his lawsuit against the Chattooga County Jail, the Chattooga County Sheriff, officers of the jail, the medial director and medical staff of the jail for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution.  The case was confidentially settled between the parties.  Mr. Tomlinson explained, “Although we cannot give specific details of the settlement, we believe that we have reached a very positive outcome for both Mr. Adkison and future disabled inmates at Chattooga County Jail.”
