On May 1, 2025, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of approximately 1,846,400 SharkNinja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers. These pressure cookers were recalled because the lid can be opened while in use, posing a risk of severe burn injuries to consumers.

More than 100 burn injuries have been reported, including more than 50 reports of 2nd or 3rd degree burns to the face and body. Opening a pressure cooker while it is still cooking can lead to burns, cuts, broken bones, eye injuries, etc.

These pressure cookers, which are black and have “Ninja” printed on the front, can also be used for air frying. They are sold at retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Sam's Club, Amazon and Target, and were on the market from January 2019 until March 2025.

Models Impacted by the SharkNinja Recall

The following models have been identified as part of the recall:

  • OP300
  • OP301
  • OP301A
  • OP302
  • OP302BRN
  • OP302HCN
  • OP302HAQ
  • OP302HW
  • OP302HB
  • OP305

  • OP350CO
Consumers should check their SharkNinja pressure cooker immediately to determine if it is part of the recall. The model number can be found on the label on the side of the cooker. Note that there may be an additional set of numbers following the model number, therefore a pressure cooker labeled “OP301 123” is a model OP301 and is part of the recall.

If you have a recalled pressure cooker, you should immediately stop using the SharkNinja pressure cooker and contact SharkNinja for a replacement lid.
