Wally Walker was born July 15, 1964 in Gasden, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in finance in 1986. He graduated from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University Magna Cum Laude in 1989. He was a member of the Cumberland Law Review, Cunia Honoris and Phi Kappa Phi. After graduation, Mr. Walker served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert E. Varner, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Alabama.
After his clerkship, Mr. Walker began his legal career in private practice in Montgomery, Alabama. During his more than 20 years in private practice, Mr. Walker has litigated cases throughout the state and federal courts in Alabama representing both plaintiffs and defendants in consumer and commercial litigation involving insurance issues, securities class actions, construction litigation, products liability, and various federal statutory claims. In addition to litigation throughout the state and federal courts in Alabama, Mr. Walker has tried cases in federal courts in Boston and Atlanta. Mr. Walker has also tried numerous cases in arbitration and has been primary counsel of record in over 20 reported Appellate decisions in the state and federal courts.
Mr. Walker has been named in Best Lawyers in America and Alabama Super Lawyers for litigation. Mr. Walker is a member of the Alabama Law Foundation, the American Bar Association, and the Alabama State Bar. He also serves on the Boards of the Montgomery County Humane Society, Chattahoochee Riverwarden as Vice-President and on the Advisory Board for the Auburn University School of Business.
